Horizon Roofing is a member of the Master Elite Roofing Program with
G. A. F. and, therefore, many of our roofs are installed using G. A.
F. shingles. G. A. F. is one of the leading companies in this field
and is making an effort to produce the highest quality roofing job in
all aspects: not only the shingles, but also the installation of the
roof. We agree with this principle and feel that if our customers are
going to spend their money on a new roof system, they should be offered
the best possible roof available for the money. We understand that some
people would rather not spend as much on their roof and, although we
feel that the extra attention to detail is well worth the money, we
will install any other manufacturer’s shingle with any design the
homeowner wishes. We are here to install the roof that fits a need,
but feel that it is important to show the best quality and then allow
the homeowner to make their decision accordingly. As part of the G.
A. F. Master Elite Program, we can offer extended and improved warranties
on the homeowner’s roof, covering all aspects including labor and
material damage that may occur.
When we think of shingles, we normally think of the most common type
of shingle, which is an asphalt shingle. However, the shingle manufacturer’s
now provide a wide range of styles and selections. There are different
colors, designs, and warranty periods. In fact, there is an almost endless
assortment of design elements in today’s shingle market. We advise
our customers to visit the local roofing supply houses (a list of names
and telephone numbers may be obtained by calling our offices at the
above-referenced number), as they all display the major brands showing
color options and design elements. They will give you an idea of the
various costs, as well. A 20-year roof shingle will last about that
long, and the manufacturer has a warranty stating that it will do so.
The manufacturer’s warranties are not always as good a deal as
they seem, as they are normally pro-rated, so one must read the warranty
information very carefully while looking at the various shingle types.
To
the trade
We perform large and small jobs for our general contractors, builders,
and developers. No job is too small or too big. We work on homes, condominium
complexes of varying sizes, churches, institutional buildings, and state
buildings. Our goal is to provide our contractors with an efficient
and well-planned roof system, which includes dry-ins and finish work
in conjunction with your framing, building inspections, and carpentry
deadlines. We will work diligently to fit into your schedule with planning
to enable a cost-effective job with the maximum amount of efficiency.
We ask that you keep us informed of your stages, and your critical path
and schedules so that we may have crews available when you need them.
About
Horizon
Horizon was born on January 1, 1998, as an arm of the successful Paul
Saunders Roofing Company, which generally handles slate, tile and
tin roofs. A roofing company in its own right, Horizon specializes in
shingle, cedar shake, and metal roof systems. Horizon Roofing has grown
quickly, as more and more customers refer us as their roofing company
of choice in the shingle/cedar shakes market.
It is owned by Graham B. Aston, who also heads up Paul Saunders Roofing.
